- 1 ripe banana
- 1 egg
- 2–3 tbsp cocoa powder
- Mix 1 very ripe, small banana; 1 small egg, and 2-3 TBSPs of cocoa powder in a food processor or powerful blender until a batter is formed. DO NOT try mixing them by hand because the results will be disappointing.
- Pour the mixture into a greased mug, and cook in the microwave for approximately 1 minute (the time will depend on your microwave and your desired texture).
You can also bake this in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Add a dollop of peanut or almond butter to the top of the cake for extra richness.
This mug cake is not very sweet if you’re used to eating refined sugar. Feel free to add a tbsp of honey or maple syrup if your diet allows it. Chocolate chips are also a good way to sweeten it up a bit!
